Support Groups
If you're facing a stressful life issue, you may feel less alone when talking with people who are facing similar challenges. A support group may be helpful if you're caring for a special needs child or elderly spouse or parent, grappling with the unique issues of raising a child adopted internationally or struggling with a chronic medical condition.
How We Help
- In a support group, you'll find people facing similar challenges.
- A professional facilitator and group members will offer you emotional support, practical information and tips on how to cope with your unique situation.
- We currently offer groups for caregivers, those affected by Multiple Sclerosis and those who have adopted children internationally. Click here for more information or to register for a group. We also can refer you to many other support groups throughout the community.
- Our unique position as a division of a larger, non-sectarian social service agency, Jewish Family & Children's Service, gives us immediate access to experienced professionals in elder care, career counseling, adoption, special needs, critical needs resource coordination and more, enabling us to connect you with a range of experts and resources from which you may benefit.
