How We Help

  • One-on-one counseling provides an opportunity for you to talk openly about your thoughts and feelings with a qualified, caring, nonjudgmental professional.
  • We have experience and expertise in a wide range of areas including, but not limited to:
    • Depression
    • Anxiety
    • Self-image, self-esteem or self-worth
    • Relationship problems
    • Family stress
    • Anger management
    • Grief and loss
    • Parenting issues, including single parent and blended families.
  • For older adults, we have clinicians who are experienced at addressing the psychological challenges of aging. These may include loss of a loved one, decline in physical ability, changing expectations of life and management of psychiatric medication. For those who have trouble coming into our offices, home-based service is available.
  • We are highly experienced at working with culturally-diverse individuals and pride ourselves on being empathetic and respectful of each person's situation and needs.
  • Our unique position as a division of a larger, non-sectarian social service agency, Jewish Family & Children's Service, gives us immediate access to experienced professionals in elder care, career counseling, adoption, special needs, critical needs resource coordination and more, enabling us to connect you with a range of experts and resources from which you may benefit.
  • Our staff is knowledgeable about third-party reimbursement and is able to guide you through the procedures required by your particular insurance company. Individuals without insurance may apply for a reduced fee based on income and family size.

Meet the People We Help

  • Mark's company has downsized several times, and as a result, he has been asked to take on a lot of additional work. His job situation was stressful, and he wasn't handling the pressure well.
